November 05 Happy HalloweenHalloween was really fun this year. Lizzy totally "got" the concept of trick-or-treat and loved it! Lizzy had a Halloween party at her school that was really fun. They had a costume parade, then a lame clown. During that time Lizzy played on the swings. They also had a little carnival with face-painting and a trick-or-treat. This trick-or-treat was great in the fact they handed out like 10 snack type items like raisins to 2 pieces of candy. That night Adam and I went to an adult Halloween party at our friends. We had fun playing pictionary. Just ask Adam how to draw "spooky". Halloween day was a busy one as Adam and I had to get in an 8 mile run before leaving for the church to decorate for our ward Halloween party which I was in charge of. I think it went really smoothly though. We make a photo booth and for some reason did not spend time to get really great pictures of the kids--especially James. This year Adam and I were hippies, Lizzy was a butterfly and James was batman. He wouldn't keep on the hat I made him--darn it. OH well. Lizzy loved the trunk-or-treat and visited all the cars until her bucket was full.
When we got home our building was having trick-or-treating. I asked Adam if I should take her to a few doors. She overheard me, grabbed her bucket and said, yes, let's go! I could not resist. The good thing was, I left her other trick-or-treat candy for Adam to hand out to other kids in the building.
